Success is something that cannot be passed on from one generation to another and talent is rarely distributed in an equal proportion (unless, you are an Ambani). If that would have been the case then the siblings of our Bollywood’s most successful stars would have also managed to make an impact in the industry.
But, that has not been the case for the following celebrity brothers and sisters who are related to the shadows of their superstar sibling’s shadows forever.

Let us take a look at eight such Bollywood star kids who failed to repeat the success story of their more popular siblings:
#1. Shamita Shetty, sister of actress Shilpa Shetty
Despite having a successful debut with a Yash Raj multi-starrer movie, Mohabbatein, Shamita failed to sizzle at the box office like her elder sister, Shilpa Shetty. After a string of item songs, she even made it to Bigg Boss just like her sister Shilpa, who gained international fame with Big Brother. However, luck did not side with Shamita even here and she just could not become famous. She was last seen as a contestant in dance reality show on Colors TV, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

#2. Tanishaa Mukerji, sister of actress Kajol
Kajol’s name in the industry is taken with a lot of respect. She is one of the most successful leading ladies of Bollywood with movies like DDLJ, Fanaa and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to her credit. But, compared to her, her younger sister, Tanishaa does not hold a candle to Kajol’s immense talent. All her movies tanked at the box office and Tanishaa was relegated to the office of her brother-in-law, actor Ajay Devgn’s production house. However, she did change things a bit for herself when she participated in controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 7 and came into news for her explicit affair with flop actor, Armaan Kohli. Currently, she can be seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi’s latest season as a participant on Colors TV.

Esha, in turn is stepsister of Sunny and daughter of veteran actors, Dharmendra and ‘Dream Girl’ Hema Maliini. #8. Tusshar Kapoor, brother of producer Ekta Kapoor
This list would not be complete without the mention of this odd sister-brother duo. While Ekta is known as the television queen who changed the face of Indian television industry, her brother Tusshar has been criticised time and again for his zero acting skills. Their father, veteran actor Jeetendra was known for his terrific on-screen persona. Sadly, only Ekta has managed to walk in the footsteps of her father, and Tusshar is known for his mute acts in movies like Golmaal and sex comedies like Kya Kool Hain Hum (produced by her sister incidentally).
